Become a Fundraiser
Interested in becoming a Fundraiser?
Why would you want to do that? You get to stand out in the pouring rain or freezing cold getting ignored (or worse) by the public hundreds of times a day. So why on earth would you want to do that?
Well, here's a few reasons!
Need any more reasons? OK.
So you're interested? Got any questions?
How much will I be paid?
Between £8.00 per hour and £11.00 per hour depending on your experience.
Do I get paid commission?
No. We believe that out Fundraisers should be motivated by the Charity for whom they are working not for commission. If you want commission, become a sales person.
We do have very realistic and achievable goals for people to achieve to increase their rate of pay.
Where will I work?
On streets anywhere within zones 1 - 6 in London and some times a bit further afield.
Will I be working on my own?
No. You will always be part of a team. Depending on the site, you will be part of a team of anywhere between 4 and 8 people including a Team Leader.
What are the hours?
Our normal hours are 10:00am until 6:00pm - Monday to Friday. On a Saturday, we start a little later at 11:00am still finishing at 6:00pm.
Do I have to work full-time?
You have to work full days but not necessarily full-time. You have to be available for at least 3 days a week.
Do I have to have done this work before?
Absolutely not. Most of our Fundraisers started out never having fundraised before. You will have two full days' training that will teach you everything you need to know to start fundraising.
What qualifications do I need?
None. Just energy, enthusiasm, passion and dedication. That's all you'll need.
Are there any career prospects with this job?
Yes. The first step up would be to become a Team Leader. After that, there are management positions and training positions to go for.
